Oops, I missed yesterday!
Sorry --didn't post yesterday.
I have 2 quotes for you today to make up for it. For these two days, I have quotes about heroes and hope.
I love the quote from Elizabeth Edwards, and the other quote reminds me of a man I met many years ago, Mr Ronald Herrick. He was quiet and unassuming, yet so many people owe him a HUGE thank you- he was the world's first living kidney donor in a successful transplant operation. He gave a kidney to his twin brother. His brother lived 8 more years with his "new" kidney, and Mr Herrick lived more than 50 years after his donation. The doctor who performed the operation went on to win the Nobel prize. Mr Herrick had said he wasn't trying to do anything special, he just wanted to help his brother.
Unfortunately, this December we lost both Elizabeth Edwards and Ronald Herrick. Maybe when you look up in the heavens tonight, the stars will shine just a little bit brighter because of them.

finally back to blogging
Here I am...back again, like a bad penny.
You didn't think you could get rid of me that easily, could you? Anyway, most of my drama of the last few months has settled down at least somewhat, and I feel like creating more again. I have a kit that took me several months to actually get together, and even though I don't feel like it has all I want in it, I'll probably be putting it up on my other blog, Judy in Disguise Designs, at some point.
I decided that I needed to get some wordarts up. Today is part one of a set of cat wordarts. I had to put my other cat down due to cancer, and although I vowed to hold off on getting a new cat, I fell in love with a new furbaby 4 days later. So much for that vow! My new cat is beautiful, lively, and full of personality. Just what I need in my life right now!
Here is a preview of the new word art set, part one. I included some "terminology" from the world of LOL cats in my word arts, as my cat looks like a classic "basement cat" - she steals hearts, not souls, though.

Everything is beautiful
I was listening to the radio the other day and this song came on. I hadn't heard in a long time. Thought it would make a nice wordart. I hope everything is beautiful for you, too!

Finally Back
I'm finally back online. We have had a long spring, dealing with our father's cancer and death. He is finally at peace now. Our mother passed away several years ago, and he had missed her so much. Everyone is grateful that they are together again.
Confession time... Judy and I are not two different people... We are one and the same. Just using two pseudonyms for different aspects. I'd like to keep this blog as a "wordart" blog, and have the other blog for my kits. I'd kind of like to just use the "judy" blog, to signal a new aspect and outlook on life, but I know that many people have come to this blog looking for cute and fun wordarts. So...I'll keep putting wordarts on here for you. If you want kits, you'll have to go to my other blog, judyindisguisedesigns.blogspot.com to get them. Unfortunately, right now, I have no kits on there right now, but I do have one all set for It, I just have to make the previews for it, and it will be good to go!
In the meantime, here are some spring wordarts for you:

Good Memories
This is a wordart I made for Judy (from Judy in Disguise Designs) Her father is terminally ill with cancer, and she is providing him with the 24 hour care he needs, I have been helping her out as much as I can. We will probably not have much time to be on the internet over the next few weeks, but we will not be forgetting our dear blog readers. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. Not only are Judy and I friends, but we are also relatives. Judy's father was a good man, and I have many good memories of us growing up and enjoying time with her father over the years.

Collab (sort of-LOL)
I had a request come in for a wordart of "You are my sunshine". To make a long story short, I ended up making more than one wordart. Not only that, but Judy wanted to make some wordarts of this too! She made 4 wordarts, plus a stamp (which I used for one of my wordarts). So... you now have 8 choices of wordarts of "You are my sunshine"!
Here is a preview of Judy's wordarts. Visit her blog HERE

Love makes the ride worthwhile!
Hey there! This is my Valentine to you! It is one of my favorite quotes about love, and I have the black and white version here on my blog. There is a version with some color in it on my friend Judy's new blog,
judyindisguisedesigns.blogspot.com.
We will be working together on some things for you as well as having some of our own stuff available. Our styles are very much alike, and she has already helped me with some of my freebies already. She fiually decided it was time for herself to have a blog. :)

Nature
I've been thinking about this quote a lot lately. Especially after Haiti was hit by the devastating earthquake. I think it's so amazing how this single event could bring so many countries together to aid the victims. Kinda makes you want to sit back and think a little, huh? Anyway, hope you can find a use for this quote on your own pages.

Familiar Quote
This is one those quotes that almost every scrapbooker should have in their quote files! It is very popular, and has been done in so many ways. By now the quote has been used so many times that it has been attributed to several different people. I'm not really sure who is actually the first person who said it is, but whoever it was, was very wise indeed. I have always loved this quote. Today I'm posting it as a request that came in to me from one of my readers. Hope some of you will find some good uses for it!

One more set of Date Stamps

Date Stamp request
Today's font for the date stamps came from a reader who requested that I make a set out of the font "sf Jenn" from the Sugar Frog fonts site. Apparently, this font was made from her handwriting! Since I had just found the site myself a few days earlier, I was glad to make this set of date stamps for her!
If you like handwriting fonts, go check out sugarfrogfonts.com and have fun!

More Date Stamps and some Extras
Ok, so today I have another set of Date Stamps (PNG sheets) in my "Mix and Match " series of date stamps. Today I have a set made in the "Pea Joraanstad" font.
Preview of this font is above, and can be mixed with my other date stamp sets.
I have also made a couple of extra things to start off the new year with. I have a basic calendar template with blank squares so you can fill them in as you wish. Also I have made a few calendar "items" to start your year off with, some stickers, flairs, and wordarts. Hopefully these will jumpstart your creativity to make your own monthly pages!
Here is an example of what I have so far for January:

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you are having a good holiday weekend. To celebrate the start of the new year, I am bringing back some more mix and match date stamps. I am packaging them up a little differently this time... Each download will have the PNG sheets with one font in each package. That way you can choose which fonts you want to download. Apply your own styles to them and have fun with these!
(Example of FontDiner font)
If you have a particular font you would like to see me use for stamps, please let me know and I will make a set for that font.
