I have 2 quotes for you today to make up for it. For these two days, I have quotes about heroes and hope.
I love the quote from Elizabeth Edwards, and the other quote reminds me of a man I met many years ago, Mr Ronald Herrick. He was quiet and unassuming, yet so many people owe him a HUGE thank you- he was the world's first living kidney donor in a successful transplant operation. He gave a kidney to his twin brother. His brother lived 8 more years with his "new" kidney, and Mr Herrick lived more than 50 years after his donation. The doctor who performed the operation went on to win the Nobel prize. Mr Herrick had said he wasn't trying to do anything special, he just wanted to help his brother.
Unfortunately, this December we lost both Elizabeth Edwards and Ronald Herrick. Maybe when you look up in the heavens tonight, the stars will shine just a little bit brighter because of them.

Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in CBH Digital Scrapbooking Freebies, under the Page 8 post on Dec. 31, 2010. Thanks again.
