Christmas Eve!  Wow!  It seems hard to believe.  I want to wish everyone a safe, happy and healthy holiday this year.  I will have a wordart tomorrow, but I suspect that many people will be enjoying time with their families instead of being on the computer looking for freebies-LOL!  So...I'm sending out my Christmas wishes today!

Can you believe it?  We're almost there!  Somehow, I managed to get tomorrow off.  :)  And I didn't even ask for it.  Still have to go in to work on Christmas, though.  Oh well...it's not like I had any big plans for Christmas anyway.   The rest of my family have somebody to share thier Christmas with. Me?  I have a dog and a cat.  Might give the dog and cat extra treats, though.  Looks like I'm not getting my Christmas wish again this year.  *Sigh*  Is it that hard for Santa to get me something tall, dark, and handsome?  LOL  Hope all your wishes come true!

December 7th- "a date which will live in infamy"

December 7th---as I bring you today's advent wordart, I would also like to note the 70th anniversary of Decmber 7th, 1941, a date which Franklin Delano  Roosevelt called "a date which will live in infamy".  It certainly was one of the major turning points in the history of the 20th century.  Unfortunately, those who were alive and can recall that day are soon to be gone.  And this is yet another reminder to us to preserve the events of yesterday, today and yes, even tomorrow, for future generations.  In honor of this, I m posting two wordarts for you today...my advent post, and a special December 7th quote.

Did you ever have one of those advent calendars while you were groing up?  Some would have a little door to open up each day leading to Christmas that revealed a little picture. Some may have had little ornaments to to decorate  a "tree".  And of course, there were the ones that opened each day to reveal a present.  My favorites had a piece of chocolate behind each door.  :) 

In the spirit of those advent calendars, I will be posting a "chocolate" wordart each day.  The chocolate part is that each wordart will be from a choclate wrapper from one of those decadently delicious little choclates that are individually wrapped  and have one of those little sayings on them.  (If you love chocolate as much as I do, you know which chocolates I'm talking about.)

In honor of Movember

This past month, the month of November, found a grass roots campaign on its hands in the form of "Movember", an effort to raise awareness for men's cancer, especially prostate cancer.  If I were a guy, I would have grown a mustache, LOL.  But since I couldn't, I'm posting this wordart in honor of the men who have struggled with cancer.

Ok, so my Halloween kit is a little late...

LOL!  Happy Scrapbboking Day!  I have a little Halloween kit to give you today.  I know it's a little late.  But I figure some of you out there (you know who you are) haven't gotten around to scrapping those pics yet.  It's not a big kit, but will make a nice addition to some of the other Halloween kits out there. 

My arm has healed up very nicely, and my new job is going well so far.  I didn't get to really celbrate Halloween this year though.  I missed being able to hand out treats to the kids.  However, Mother Nature certainly tricked, though--with a pre-Halloween snowstorm!  Of course the snow is mostly gone now.

Just a quick post here...

Just want you to know...I may post a few wordarts here anf there, but I have a brokrn arm.  And of course, it's my writing hand.  So...typing is a little slow for me right now. 

I know you'r wondering how I broke my arm...I will tell you, but you have to promise not to laugh.  I fell out of bed. (OK...I know you're laughing.)  I rolled over too far on my bed and I fell out. 

So...you'llhave to excuse my temporary absence for now!  I hope all of you are having a better summer than I am...so glad that the heat wave is finally moving out, hope it makes your summer better, too.
