Taking time to pause
This week I'm posting some wordarts that are a little more reflective. A couple of days ago, I had a customer who was dealing with a part of the sadly historic shooting at Aurora. It was part of the aftermath, one of the thankless yet necessary tasks that were needed in the wake of the tragedy. And here I was, in the upper northeast of the United States, being asked to assist in a minor role in the wrap up for that dreadful night. It made me think of the sayings about everything having a ripple affect beyond the immediate situation. Today's freebie is in tribute to the victims of that horrific moment. Of course, they can be used for other situations, but they seemed appropriate today.

It's Wednesday....
...and you know what that means! Time for another Wicked Good Wednesday freebie. :)
This week I'm bring you part 3 of my kit "Always". It's a big kit, put together with a lot of work and love. I have loved everything about this kit--the colors, the theme, the making of it. Hopefully some one out there will find some use for this kit.
If you missed parts 1 and 2, they are posted in earlier threads. Again, each part can be used separately or together. Have fun!

Happy 4th of July!
Hey to all you out there in digiland! This week for my Wicked Wednesday freebie I'm giving out some more Independence Day Wordarts. Next week I'll get back to part 2 of my "Always" kit, but for some reason I can't seem to let the 4th of July get by me. Maybe because it's near my birthday? Lord knows I don't have any big plans, yet I'm always drawn into making wordarts for the holiday. Oh well, whatever it is, you get the benefits of some more holiday wordarts to add to your collection. Have fun with them! :)

A little early tonight...
..for Wicked Good Wednesday! But, I'm so excited to bring you part one of my special megakit "Always"! I was inspired by the song "Always Be My Baby" for this kit. A couple of years ago I made a page for my daughter with some of the lyrics to this song. She was 20 at the time, and I wanted to remind her that no matter how much she grew up, she would always be my baby.
Humming the tune one day, I realised many parts of this song could be applied to so much of a mother and child's bonds. I wanted to share my thoughts on this song with others. I also knew I didn't want this to be just another "baby" kit, I wanted it to be able to "grow" as a child grows, so the colors will work well for baby or adult... or anything in-between.
Each week for 3 weeks, I'll be putting a part on my blog. Each part should be able to work separately and together. I'll have 10 papers in each part, 13 elements, 1 alpha, 7 wordarts, and one special add-on in each part as well. If you get all three parts, you will have 30 papers, 45 elements, 3 alphas, 21 wordarts, 3 templates, and 3 bonus gifts! Wow! Hope you enjoy them!

Heads up...
Just a quickie note here...if you go to this website, http://sunshinescreationz.blogspot.com/2012/06/patriotic-word-arts.html, 4 of the wordarts in the patriotic pack she is giving away will look familiar to you if you are a regular to my site. She says they are HER designs. And she even has a note on the blog saying that if anyone wants to use them for commercial use, to contact her about it, and to pay for HER designs.
Unfortuntely, I will now have to put a discalimer on my blog in regards to my wordarts, etc.
I have always enjoyed making wordarts and other items as freebies. I'm just disapppointed that someone would try to make money off of my work. Although I think what bothers me the most is that she is claiming them as her designs, and to have the nerve to ask for money for herself for my designs. *sigh*
I will continue to make freebies, anyway. Just wanted to vent a bit.
(oh, by the way...while I prefer that my freebies be personal use, I don't mind if my wordarts, etc are used for scrap for hire pages as long as there is some sort of note that the items were put together by someone else. I'm just disappointed in this particular usage.)
